I just bought a Charslayer Sword, Upgraded it with 15^50% inscription, and went into Great Temple of Balthazar.

Long story short, while spec'd and everything:

Charslayer Sword Crit on 100 Armor: 7
Regular 15^50% Sword Crit on 100 Armor: 24

I think something is broken - all the attacks are obscenely low damage - even dealing in the 10's to a 60 armor target while having 15 swordsmanship

Um dude you won't notice the charslayer sword part until you hit a charr not on the armor.

High armor is a problem so how can you beat it? Use your actual sword skills with + damage and you get the bonus from strength.

not if it's a generic 15^50 inscription. That part has nothing to do with charrslaying. It should hit just as a normal 15^50 does (since any charrslaying mods will not take effect)..

in essence a charrslaying modded 15^50 should react exactly as a regular 15^50 when hitting non-charr, which the op is saying isn't happening.

i tested my charrslayer bow and have been using it for awhile and wondering why it was hitting so low .. its even hit 9s on casters so i switched to a bow that had similar stats, same string, 15^50 and customized and i hit noticeably higher

tested it again
hit a 9 with the charrslayer bow and hit a 20 with my other bow on teh same target tested it 3 times got similar result.. second bow was always higher and the charrslayer seemed like it was a non max bow

no, I'm not talking about the 20% damage - the weapon is broken in the fact it deals way less damage than it is supposed to

maybe try to (perfect) salvage the charrslaying mod and then try it again, then put it in again and wild blow again to see if its the bugged mod or something else.

I don't think the OP is talking about the charrslaying mod.

I think he's talking about the charrslaying weapons that are available from the ebon guard weaponsmith.

Just for clarification, are you using wild blow for the crit and if so, is your attribute in Swordsmanship a solid 12?

and he means the ebon vangaurd sword, aka charrslayer sword not one with the charrslaying mod

The weapons damage is as if it deals 5-10, instead of 15-21; this has nothing to do with char, but the damage between the two weapons are EXTREMELY significant -the highest damage you can deal with the charrslayer is LOWER than the lowest damage you can deal. But increasing the spec of the weapon DOES increase the damage you do with it, but much lower scale than with a reg wep.
